What to Learn from Flood Havocs in Himachal Pradesh?

Nature gets Angry and create havocs when People treat Nature carelessly, without Love & Respect!
So, People’s Attitude towards Nature need to Change with Love, Respect & Care!
Also, We need to take Better Precautions before such Havocs Destroy Us!

Some Suggested Positive Steps to Face Flood Havocs Better:
1. Plant more Trees wherever possible in the Hills & Mountains instead of cutting down them mindlessly!
2. Regulate the Nature’s Stream Flows with Strong RCC Embankments wherever necessary!
3. Don’t construct any Houses or Buildings close to the Banks of Rivers /Streams !
4. Strong RCC Walls should be erected alongside the Highways near the Banks of Rivers /Streams!
5. Trees should be planted alongside the Rivers wherever possible!
6. People should not burn down forests thoughtlessly!
7. People should not throw away Garbages here & there, Polluting the Environment but put in proper Disposal Points and Recycle Them!
8. While Making Buildings in the Mountains, Near the Rivers /Streams; Stronger & Deeper Foundations are required so that Flood Water will not wash away the buildings easily!
9. People should not build Houses /Buildings /Hotels etc at the Landslide Prone Areas in the Hills /Mountains!
10. People should not build Houses /Buildings /Hotels etc at the lower bases of very stiff Hills /Mountains as any falling stones /rocks /trees may destroy any structures below!
11. Government must have an Intelligent Supervising Team to constantly regulate /safeguard People’s Living Conditions at such accident-prone areas!
12. When such Natural Calamities do happen; Governments [State /UT & Center] must take up Immediate Relief Facilities to help the Victims of such calamities!
13. Government Task Forces must be extra active to help people in such disasters; so also concerned NGOs!
14. Better Rehabilitation Packages should be handed over to the Victims at the earliest!
15. People must learn & improve things to face such disasters better in future!

Main causes for the frequent Landslides on National Highways in Himachal Pradesh now are due to Central BJP Government's (PM Modi's) greedy & foolish projects of National Highways expanding into 4-Lanes instead of retaining & improving the original 2-Lanes! Himalayan soils in the hills & mountains are mostly soft & so without proper coverage by trees & support at the base foothills, landslides are bound to happen, especially during rainy season!
