MAHA KUMBH 2025: More Questions than Answers!

Kumbh Origin?
Kumbh Mela’s origin is based on Indian Mythology of churning the Ocean and obtaining Nectar of Immortality [Amrita] and fighting for it between the Devas [Godly People] & Asuras [Demonic People] and the Nectar that was taken away by Jayant [Indra’s Son] and while chasing him; drops of Nectar fell on the 4 Locations of Prayagraj, Haridwar, Ujjain & Nasik in India and so, Kumbh Mela is held at these 4 places every 12 years and Ardh Kumbh Mela every 6 years alternately and Maha Kumbh is held every144 years; Only at Prayagraj!

Mythological Origin:
But the Question is whether this Religious Festival of Kumbh based on Indian Mythology is worth celebrating or not because Mythologies, Legends, Folk Tales, Fairy Tales are available almost in all the countries around the world and none of them are proven true with concrete evidences!

Superstition?
Enjoying Mythological Stories may be OK but believing in them and celebrating them with full faith is nothing but Superstition?

Beyond Conceivable Logic:
Churning of Ocean [Samudra Manthan]; in that Mount Mandara was used as the Big Churning Pole and Snake Basuki was used as Churning Rope to move the Pole to & fro with Devas [Godly People] on one side and the Asuras [Demonic People] on the other side! 
Woh!!! What a story!!! 
Can you imagine such kind of activity anywhere, anytime as narrated in this Indian Mythology: can it be possible at all? 
I don’t think so!

Purpose of Kumbh Dip in Ganges River:
Indians believe that by taking Dip in the Ganges River during Kumbh Mela; it will Cleanse away their Sins and give them Spiritual Liberation from the cycle of Birth & Death!
Will it be so? 
Is it that easy & simple to cleanse our sins by just having a dip in the river?
If so, then; this false belief system will only encourage bad people to continue doing all kinds of bad Karmas and just dip in the Ganges and cleanse all sins! 
Not a good belief system to maintain a good society!

Waste of Public Funds?
It’s reported that INR 7,500 Crores (USD 900 Millions) are budgeted for this Maha Kumbh Mela 2025! Costs may go more than this budget by the closing time!
If this budget is used for social welfare projects like establishing/renovating Schools, Polytechnics, Hospitals, Helping Poor People etc; what a good progress can be made in India, especially in this backward state of India viz Uttar Pradesh!

Cold Bath in Winter:
This is not a healthy bath in cold water in river during winter season; especially for the weak & old people!

Contaminated Water Bath:
Ganges water is already polluted and during the Mahakumbh where so many people taking dips there, people with skin diseases also dip & wash in the river that may spread skin diseases to other healthy people!

Sadhus without Clothes:
The so called Naga Sadhus who are living without clothes is no sign for spiritual progress but kinda going back to Cave-Man status of Old stone Age of the uncivilized past!
Self Torturing  with risky penances like putting heavy turban on head, lifting one hand up always, not taking bath, sleeping on thorns, walking on fire, wearing skull garlands etc; are all unhealthy & useless practices; those better be stopped by now!

Begging Culture:
Many Indians go to Kumbh Mela because they get free food and can collect good money by begging there! 
Begging is no good culture at all! 
Beggars cannot be Enlightened People! 
True Sadhus [Enlightened People] must be supported by the society and not for them to live on alms, begging around! 
Those who are not enlightened; must work and earn living, not to beg around!

Politicizing of Mahakumbh 2025:
India is a secular democratic country where governments are not suppose to involve in religious matters but unfortunately, this present BJP government at center and in UP are fully involved in all religious matters that is against the spirit of the Indian Constituency! Too bad to politicize religion!

Sanatana Dharma [Eternal Religion]:
Dharma means Duty of the Soul [Atma] to the Super Soul [Parmatma] [GOD]!
Dharma includes especially enhancing Spiritual Qualities like Love, Purity, Cleanliness, Duty, Sincerity, Empathy, Non-Injury, Equity, Unity, Philanthropy, Justice & Happiness!
Mindset of People who follow Sanatan Dharma [Eternal Religion] should be of One World Human Family nay One World Family of GOD of All Beings; should think for the happiness & welfare of all; live in harmony, peace, progress & prosperity for all and do Good Karmas to Self & to All!
Idolatry, Performing time consuming Rituals, wasting costly items for Yajna etc; in the name of following Santana Dharma are all outdated traditions and better, all of them be stopped by now! 
Work is worship! 
Do Good Karmas to Self & to All and live Happy! 
This is true Sanatana Dharma [Eternal Religion]!
