Who is Sri Rama?

In India [Bharat], nowadays; some people are enthusiastically talking about Rama /Sri Rama /Bhagavan Rama, inauguration of Rama Temple in Ayodhya etc; super hyped by the current BJP Government, wrongly politicizing the coming religious event in January 2024; under the wrong Leadership of PM [Mr. Modi] to gain political mileage that he should not do as a PM of a Secular Country!

So, it’s important to know who is Rama?

Is Rama GOD?

The Answer is that Rama was never a GOD as informed by the Vedic Scriptures, the Foundational Scriptures of Indian Culture!

Rama was just an Avatar [Prophet/Messenger] of Vishnu!

As per Vedic Scriptures in that Vishnu’s Ten Avatars are mentioned viz 1.Matsya [Fish], 2.Kurma [Tortoise], 3.Varaha [Boar], 4. Narasimha [Man-Lion], 5.Vamana [Dwarf-God], 6. Parashurama [Brahmin-Worrior], 7.Rama, 8.Krishna, 9.Buddha, 10.Kalki.

Is Vishnu GOD?

No, Vishnu is just the Organization [Maintenance] Aspect [Function] of GOD!

GOD has Three Major Aspects [Functions] viz Generation [Creation] [Brahma] + Organization [Maintenance] [Vishnu] + Destruction [Annihilation] [Shiva]!

Avataras [Prophets/Messengers] are sent down to Earth by GOD to guide the Humanity on the Right Way of Living!

Prominent Avataras [Prophets/Messengers] include Krishna, Rama, Budha, Christ, Bahaullah etc.

Avataras are the Prophets & Messengers of GOD!
So, We must follow their Teachings and live a Good & Happy Life!

It’s wrong to worship Prophets as GOD!
So, it’s wrong to worship Rama as GOD!

GOD is Omnipresent [lives everywhere], Omniscient [knows everything] & Omnipotent [is all powerful]!

So, there is no need for Temples for GOD to live in!

It’s waste of funds & resources to construct Temples, Churches, Mosques, Pagodas, Synagogues etc; rather those funds & resources are better used for the welfare works for the people, especially for the poor & downtrodden, to uplift them!

So, it’s wrong to construct Temples for Rama or for any Avataras/Prophets and worship them as GOD!

Rama, being an Avatar/Prophet of GOD lived an Ideal Life doing His Good Karmas, showing the Humanity on how an Ideal Human Being should live and that, people must emulate in their lives and live an ideal life like Rama did; instead of worshipping Rama in the Temple!
