CHANGING FOR THE BETTER
CHANGING FOR THE BETTER
Dear Friends,
Change is the truth of human existence!
So, to live a purposeful human life we all need to embrace changes
but we should go for the better changes not for the worse.
So, it is always a wise thing to constantly think about changing
for the better in our existing systems either in family, customs, religion,
social, political, business, technical, administration or whatever.
Towards these positive changes, let us consider some of the better
changes we can embrace by now as below:
1. SELFISHNESS TO BENEVOLENCE: Changing from selfishness to
self-interest i.e. doing things in our best self interest; while doing so
serving the best self-interest of all as well i.e. live & let live for all
happily.
2. INDIVIDUALITY TO HUMANITY: Changing our identifications based on
religion, race, nationality, caste, creed or origin to the identification of a
human being either good or bad and if bad helping one another to become good
thus creating good humanity of various diversities living together in love
& harmony.
3. RELIGION TO SPIRITUALITY: Changing our identifications of
belonging to a particular religion to the identification of us all belonging to
one universal religion of God i.e. Spirituality i.e. following the same
spiritual truths taught us by all the prophets of God from time to time, thus
solving the problems of disunity/rivalry/fights/war among the different religions
of the world.
4. SUPERSTITIONS TO LAW OF KARMA: Changing the superstitious belief
systems that the reactions of our bad deeds can be annulled by performing
rituals or by idolatry or temple worship or chanting of mantras or confessing
to the priest or rotating the wheels or praying five times a day or dipping in
the Ganges river or sacrificing animals or even human sacrifices; instead
believing in the infallible Law of Karma that one gets for what one does, thus
motivating people to do good for themselves & to all so as to live a good &
happy life for themselves & for all.
5. NATIONAL TO INTERNATIONAL: Changing our mindset of national ego
to international spirit of doing benevolent services to the humanity as a whole
instead of confining to the particular group of people under the spirit of
nationalism thus considering the whole world as a nation of nations.
6. SEPARATION TO UNITY: Changing our false egos of separation &
individual/group gains to the true egos of elevating ourselves spiritually by cultivation
spiritual/good qualities and practicing them for the overall human happiness
& welfare for all.
7. FLESH-FOOD TO VEGETARIANISM: Changing of our food habits to
vegetarianism instead of flesh-food that initiates to kill animals, birds, fishes
etc; that accumulates the bad karma of killing beings that surely returns back to
the human society in the form of violence, fights, killings, wars etc.
8. CENTRALIZATION TO DECENTRALIZATION: Changing the policies of
developing only some big cities around the world thus creating all kinds of
congestions, pollutions, slums & various other management problems; instead
to decentralise these development projects to the towns, villages &
countryside spreading the facilities & infrastructures in a balanced way so
that all people can live happily & comfortably wherever they dwell thus
solving the problems of both the cities & the villages.
9. MALE TO FEMALE CHILD OR BOTH: Changing the mindset of favouring
the male child to the female child resulting in foeticide, selective abortion,
killing at birth or later of the female child towards the true understanding
that females are more important human
beings than the males simply because they are the people who are keeping the
humanity to continue by giving birth to children; they have comparatively more
spiritual qualities of love & peace that humanity needs very badly to exist
in happiness; they are the home-makers the very units of human society and so
our mindset of giving more or equal importance to the female child is of utmost
importance.
10. DIFFERENCES TO COMPLEMENTARY: Changing the mindset of prejudice
& hatred based on religion, race, nationality, caste, creed or origin towards
the love for the humankind as a whole appreciating our differences as
complements to make the perfect whole and sharing our talents, services &
contributions toward running the world society smoothly & happily.
11. CONCENTRATION TO DISTRIBUTION: Changing the system of world’s
wealth being accumulated & controlled by a few mega rich people toward
distributing them in a balanced way to all the needy people in the world thus enabling
all humanity to live a dignified life.
12. INJUSTICE TO JUSTICE: Changing the system of the misuse of
power by the government & the rich/powerful people practicing injustice
towards the mass-majority denying their rights, suppressing & exploiting
them that culminated in the birth of extremists, separatists, underground-fighters
and terrorists; instead uphold the justice & equity while dealing with the mass-majority.
13. CORRUPTION TO HONESTY: Changing the practice of corruption,
nepotism, party politics, favouritism towards transparency, honesty, fairness,
quality, suitability, compatibility, worthiness etc of the people keeping in
mind for the highest good of all while appointing anybody for any post in the
government services.
14. RESERVATION TO ALLEVIATION OF POVERTY: Changing the reservation
policy that favours the people of reserved categories with inferior quality to
hold public posts instead of appointing the well qualified people, in the name
of improving the underdeveloped people in the society is undesirable in the
best interest of all; rather government should make policies based on the poverty
level of the people irrespective of their social categories and implement
policies to alleviate their poverty level with financial assistance, free
education, subsidised housing, food etc.
15. BAD TO GOOD ELECTED PEOPLE: Changing the election system of
allowing criminals & illiterates to stand for general elections & get
elected towards the setting of minimum qualifications required for the people
who can fight the general elections like people with no criminal records,
educated & computer literate etc.
16. COLONIAL TO DEMOCRATIC SYSTEMS: Changing the Education, Police,
Legal & Administrative systems that still blindly follow some/many of
colonial rules & regulations, attitudes towards more democratic, people
friendly rules & regulations, laws.
17. OLD TO NEW SOCIAL HABITS: Changing the mindset of people’s
sticking to their old & outdated cultures/traditions in terms of body
decorations with jewelleries, body piercings, tattoos, overdone dresses,
rituals, ceremonies etc towards simpler, healthier, natural, more comfortable
& convenient dresses, social habits and social functions.
18. BEGGING TO WORKING: Changing the mindset of false renunciations,
living beggar’s life without personal hygiene & cleanliness and that too,
many of them, in the name of spirituality and society allowing such people to
live as parasites instead of encouraging them to contribute to the society
positively by discharging their duties properly & sincerely and living as
dignified humans.
19. ENEMIES TO FRIENDS: Changing the mindset of keeping enemies
& living in fear & wasting billions of money for defence & war
instead of being friendly with all the people/countries nay living the whole
world as one friendly country thus saving all the money being wasted for the
defence & war and use them for the welfare activities for the humanity as a
whole.
20. PARTY TO SPIRITUAL DEMOCRACY: Changing the present party democracy
system to spiritual democracy system where there is no need for any/many
political parties or even if there are they all co-operate to take the right
decisions for the highest good of all without selfish party interests by electing
good/spiritual people as leaders.
21. HAPPINESS OF SOME TO ALL: Changing people’s purpose of life
directing towards the happiness of themselves as well as the happiness of all
instead of the selfish kind of happiness where some powerful/rich people make
themselves happy by exploiting the majority and keeping the majority deprived
& poor.
Happiness for all!
