DAILY GOOD HABITS FOR HAPPY LIFE-2
DAILY GOOD HABITS FOR HAPPY LIFE-2
Dear Friends,
PRANAYAM, PRAYER, MEDITATION,
HATHA YOGA & OTHER EXERCISES
Q.5.: Breathing exercises in
the morning?
A: Yes, 10-20 minutes. Say ‘AUM’ 3 times deeply as the start of
Pranayam. Deep inhale & exhale in both nostrils and alternately,
inhale+retain+exhale alternately, rapid breathing in both nostrils etc.
Breathing exercises may preferably be done just before Prayer & Meditation,
so that you feel cleansed & calmer when you say prayer and do the
meditation.
Benefits: Breathing exercises [Pranayama] cleanse the nostril down to lungs
and supplies abundance of oxygen to the body system helping to purify the
blood. It calms down and relaxes the mind.
PS: AUM is the powerful spiritual sound vibration that will sanctify
your inside and surroundings when you invoke this sacred sound vibration
anywhere, anytime. Just say it reverently and feel yourself immediately. So, it
is highly recommended that you say AUM before Pranayam, Prayer, Meditation or
Hatha Yoga practices or at other times when you feel the need to sanctify your
inside and surroundings or when you are scared of anything.
Meaning of AUM [A =Brahma
(Generator) + U=Vishnu (Organizer) + M=Mahesh (Destroyer)] is GOD [Generator +
Organizer + Destroyer].
So, saying AUM means invoking
GOD.
Q.6.: Prayer in the morning?
A: Yes, 5-10 minutes. Say ‘AUM’ 3 times deeply as the start of
prayer. Prayer can be at any time of the day but morning time is the best time
for prayer because this way we start the day with blessings from all, to whom
we rely our happy existence. So, let us offer our sincere love & gratitude
to the Supreme God than to the Nature [5 vital elements of our existence] viz
Fire, Air, Water, Earth, Space; to our Parents [Mother & Father]; to our
Family members, Relatives, Friends & Well Wishers; to Teachers; to Spiritual
people & Good people; to Inventors & Scientists; to Discoverers &
Explorers; to Agriculturists & Horticulturists; to Industrialists &
Traders; to Doctors & Engineers; to
all other people who are engaged in various professions & occupations; to all the non-living entities like the materials, gadgets
& items of daily use etc; with all their collective support we are able to
live a happy life
Benefits: Showing our love and gratitude through prayer to all, on whom we
depend our life give us peace of mind and happiness. We should have this
attitude of gratitude to all, for our prosperity & happiness. Prayer
rejuvenates the mind in love & gratitude connecting to the Supreme Creator
and the universe; freeing the mind of all tensions, fear, stress & negativity,
thus, resulting in a calm, peaceful and happy frame of mind, ready to take on
any activity of the day in a more confident and efficient way and above all you
will remain happy all day long.
PS: Make it a habit that you say a prayer everyday preferably in the
morning but in case you forgot it in the morning, you can say it anytime of the
day, don’t feel guilty about it, but come back to regular morning prayer after
that. You can say the prayer in three ways either silently by your thought or
murmur the prayer or say the prayer loudly with voice. You can use ‘My HAPPY
WORLD prayer’ just posted yesterday on HAPPY WORLD Google Group blog or a
prayer composed by yourself expressing your sincere love & gratitude to all
whom you depend for your existence and happy life.
Q.7.: Meditation in the
morning?
A: Yes, 10-20 minutes. Sit in pleasant/lotus pose with closed eyes.
Say ‘AUM’ 3 times deeply as the
start of meditation. Meditation can be done at any time of the day or all the
time if you know how to do it. However, morning time is the best time for
meditation because you have calmer mind & quieter atmosphere in the morning
than other times of the day and also starting the day after channelizing your
mind to positivity and happiness through meditation is an ideal way to begin
the day.
Start with Chakra Meditation,
also called Kundalini Meditation.
Chakra Meditation
Say ‘AUM’ 3 times deeply. The
purpose of this meditation is to convert our vital force/sexual power into our
health & brain power, intellect or Ojha Sakti; otherwise it may be drained
off through the outlets of our sensual pleasures leaving us weaker or gaining
nothing out of our accumulated vital force/sexual power. Through this
meditation process, we awaken the dormant vital force/serpent /kundalini lying
at the lowest Chakra called Muladhara at the bottom and activate it slowly to
rise upwards through seven steps via the seven Chakras [plexuses] in our body
culminating at the topmost seventh chakra called Sahasrara on the top of the head.
The seven Chakras are 1.Muladhara [below genital] 2. Swadhisthan [above
genital] 3. Manipura [at the belly] 4. Anahata [at the heart] 5. Visudha [at
the throat] 6. Agya [in between the eyebrows] 7. Sahasrara [on the top of the
head].
After the Chakra Meditation, we
continue with the Happy Meditation.
In fact, the best recommended
meditation is the Happy Meditation, the benevolent kind that not only makes you
happy but all others also happy as well. You can’t be truly happy unless all
others surrounding you are also happy, otherwise fear may surround you!
Ultimate objective of all meditations, nay, of all our activities is to be
happy and so no other form of meditation is superior to Happy Meditation.
Happy Meditation:
Say ‘AUM’ 3 times deeply.
First Step of Happy Meditation
- You consciously cleanse your mind of all toxic /useless /negative /bad
habits, thoughts, people, foods, drinks, environment etc; say good bye to all
those degrading thoughts, things, habits, people, thus emptying yourself of all
those unwanted garbage out of your mind. You say good bye to False ego/False
pride, Lust/Sensuality, Greed/Covetousness, Anger/Wrath, Jealousy/Envy,
Gluttony/overeating, Sloth/laziness and also say good bye to
gloominess/sadness, prejudice/hatred, negative/bad people.
Second Step of Happy Meditation
- Now, your mind is totally empty and this empty space of your mind is slowly
filled in with all the positive, good, uplifting & happy thoughts i.e. you
are healthy, youthful, beautiful, good, decent, peaceful, joyful, growing,
expanding, blooming, blossoming, blissful etc.
Third Step of Happy Meditation
– This step of meditation is the most vital part of Happy Meditation when you
visualize a Happy World where all people in the world live happily, practicing
fully the 12 Spiritual Principles of LOVE, PURITY, CLEANLINESS, DUTY, SINCERITY, EMPATHY,
NON-INJURY, EQUITY, UNITY, PHILANTHROPY, JUSTICE & HAPPINESS. During this
meditation, you will repeat 5 times the 12 spiritual principles one after
another meditating on their meanings & benevolent implications. You intend
& visualize that it is happening right now in the world that all people are
happy everywhere living with these spiritual qualities in practice daily.
Fourth Step of Happy Meditation
-By now you are in Happy World surrounded by all good things & good people
in the good environment with full of greeneries, clean air, pure water and good
sunshine, good place, good income, good food & happy people all around,
everything in abundance & plentiful. Yes, now, you are indeed in
heaven/paradise/bliss called the Happy World.
Fifth Step of Happy Meditation
- Finally, you expand your Happy World to all the people, covering the whole
world, thus making the HAPPY WORLD for all.
Benefits: Idea [thoughts/mind] rules the world, so, runs the proverb.
Meditation is the conscious process of controlling and channelizing our
thoughts/mind for positive, constructive & happy outcomes. It benefits the
individual who meditates resulting in his/her overall improvement in life with
prosperity & happiness. When universal goodwill for prosperity &
happiness for all is included in the meditation process of the individuals, the
outcome is the overall benevolence for the whole world thus resulting in a more
loving, caring, united Happy World.
PS: Meditation is best done along with Prayer. So, just after the prayer start meditation.
Q.8.: Hatha Yoga & Other
Exercises in the morning?
A: Yes, 20-30 minutes. Say ‘AUM’ 3 times deeply as the start of Hatha
Yoga & Other Exercises. Start with Surya namaskar [salute to the Sun] poses
followed by stretching, leg stands etc. Next, follows the Other Exercises of
free neck, free hand, free leg, cross toes touching, pushups etc. There are so
many poses of yoga and so many different types of physical exercises and we
don’t have to practice all of them every day. Purpose of Hatha Yoga or other
physical exercises is to make our body fully flexible and so, we have to
involve all the bodily parts while doing hatha yoga /other exercises etc.
Hence, we chose some hatha yoga and some other physical exercises that will
activate all our bodily parts keeping us flexible and healthy overall.
Benefits: Real positive effects of hatha yoga & other physical exercises
is that our body remains flexible, i.e. our body remains young, capable of
handling all kinds of activities in our daily life effectively, easily &
comfortably. Exercises give us a sense of self confidence, fulfillment &
happiness, enabling us to enjoy our life fully and keeping us fit & ready
to face any kind of challenges in life. Yoga systems not only make us
physically flexible & fit but also improve our moral, mental and spiritual
aspects of life.
Comments: Although doing physical exercises every day is better, it’s OK to
skip it once in a while depending on your body conditions e.g. if you are sick,
you don’t have to force yourself to do physical exercises.
Happiness for all!
