MYSTERY OF LIFE-1: WHO ARE WE?

Dear Friends,

Today, I want to talk you about the most fundamental question of humankind i.e. who are we?

Why people ask these questions?

Every intelligent person will surely ask these questions sooner or later, one day!

Because, these two questions will lead us to self realization & purpose of life while searching or trying to get answer for it. The purpose of this fundamental question on life is to be the real us here & now so that we can fulfill the real purpose of our life on this planet earth.

Unless we know who we really are, in no way, we can be ourselves and manifest the best of ourselves!

Our Temporary identity versus Permanent Identity:

 Since our birth till now, we had been living with the false belief systems of the society that the real we are our bodies [males or females]; that we are this Mr./Ms. so and so, son/daughter or father/mother of Mr./Ms.  so and so; that we are American, British, Australian, German, French, Chinese, Japanese, Indian etc; that we are teacher, engineer, doctor, industrialist, farmer, businessman, nurse, technician etc; that we are Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, Zoroastrian, Sikh, Jain, Baha’i etc; that we are white, black, yellow, this race, that race, tall, short, big, small, fat, thin etc; and so on … but these identifications are all temporary in the sense that they hold true only during our life span on this planet earth and that may be, for most of the people less than 100 years!

So, the need to seek our true or permanent identity!

Well, it may surprise us but the truth is that our soul is already many billions of years old, in fact our true life span is infinite & eternal and when compared to our eternal life span, our present 100 years of life span is just like a drop of water in the entire ocean of our eternal life!

We are identifying ourselves with a drop of water forgetting that our real identity is the vast ocean of eternity!

What a big mistake!

Who are we?

That is why all our temporary identifications during this life span of 100 years or so, are not the real identity of us because we already had such different identities million times before, in the journey of our soul’s experiences spanning many billion years! That is why our present identities are false because after completing our present life span and when we die, we are going to get another fresh & different identity of ourselves soon again in the next birth! 

So, how will we identify ourselves say, 100 years from now after we die?

By then, shall we identify ourselves with our present identity or the new identity we are going to get in the next life?

Identity crisis!

Not really, if we identify ourselves with our Soul [spirit] then, there is no identity crisis or loss of our true identity, because we have identified ourselves with our changeless true identity of our Soul [spirit].

We are Souls

Yes, our true identity is that we are the deathless, eternal, ever happy, ever healthy, ever young and ever good Soul [spirit].
