WHAT I WANT & WHAT I DON'T?
WHAT I WANT & WHAT I DON'T?
Dear Friends,
You all may agree with me that what really matters in life is not the quantity but the quality.
You all may agree with me that what really matters in life is not the quantity but the quality.
Writing hundreds of articles/books will not make a
person a famous author or a benevolent prophet because human imagination can be
limitless and so, it can be limitlessly useless or useful!
If sheer volumes of writings are that count the
best; then, well, all the news-reporters / editors could have been the most
famous authors in the world, simply because they write pages of articles/news
everyday filling up the wide pages of newspapers daily! Here I am not
denouncing news-reporters / editors, they are all doing their duties, I
appreciate that; my point here is just to clarify about the quality versus
quantity dialogue, no offences intended to anyone.
So, it is not the quantity of food we eat that
matters but the quality of food we eat & digest that keeps our good health
and this is true in all our activities in life that quality counts.
OK now, coming to the main point of this article,
yes, I wanna tell you about “What I Want and What I Don’t” that you may or may
not fully agree with me but I hope mostly you will.
Let me point out some of them as follows:
SINCERITY:
I want people to be honest, truthful
& keep their words and in case if they can’t, then, they gotta give the
explanation/apology on why they couldn’t do so. Sincerity brings trust and trust
brings good human relationships and without good human relationships, we cannot
live happily in this world and so, logically speaking; dishonest, untruthful,
insincere people are the sources of unhappy world!
So, if you wanna be happy and make the happy world
be honest, truthful, sincere and keep your words as much as possible.
CLEANLINESS:
A neat & clean, smart person physically
& in dress with nice aroma is welcome by all everywhere in the human
society no matter what race, religion, caste, creed, origin, nationality he/she
belongs to and at the same time the contrary is true that a dirty, smelly,
sloppy, boring, lazy person physically & in dress is unwelcome anywhere no
matter what high family/class/caste/nationality/origin he/she may be from.
So, if you wanna be respected, liked & loved
by all maintain cleanliness physically and in dress no matter where you go
& be.
NON-INJURY:
Nobody in the world wanna be injured
physically, mentally and spiritually and so don’t do unto others what you don’t
want others do unto you as the “Golden Rule of Human Conduct” says so.
Non-injury should start from our thoughts; then next from our spoken/written
words; then from our physical deeds. Thinking the goodwill & welfare
thoughts for all, benefits all that includes you at the first place in the
benevolent way that well translates into loving & sweet words finally
converting into the good deeds that brings welfare & happiness for all. On
the other hand all kinds of injurious thoughts, words & deeds first of all
start tormenting the person who practices these negative actions and thus
making himself/herself unhappy & also the people/world around that negative
person thus all kinds of injurious thoughts, words and deeds make this world an
happy place to live for all.
So, if you wanna live a happy life and make the
people/world happy; practice non-injury in your thoughts, words and deeds.
PREJUDICE:
Prejudice breeds from the unjustified
comparison among people, places, species etc. In fact all living beings are
unique in their own ways and there is no need for comparison because all are
good in their own ways thus complementing each other to make a more complete
world with diverse entities all around. You can’t expect a dog look like a cat
or a horse look like a buffalo. In the same way, human races have their unique
looks & traits: you can’t expect an African look like a European or a Chinese
and vice versa. A rose is beautiful, a lotus is beautiful, a sunflower is
beautiful, a jasmine is beautiful, a daffodil is beautiful ... all flowers are
beautiful as they are ... all humans are beautiful as they are ... choice is up
to the individuals but don’t compare one human to another just like don’t
compare one flower to another ... just enjoy their unique beauties &
qualities. Prejudice had been the one most unwanted factor that contributed
making an unhappy world with hatred, disunity, exploitation, genocide, war etc.
So, if you wanna live a happy life in a happy
world where people live in love, harmony, unity & peace away from hatred,
fights, disunity & war; then stop prejudice of all kinds.
CORRUPTION:
The most infamously popular word
nowadays in the news is “corruption”. Corruption simply means injustice of all
kinds. Corruption means selfishness to the core. Corruption means lack of
personal integrity & degradation of morality. Corruption means misuse of
public funds. Corruption means misuse of power. Corruption means cooperating
with the wrong doers. Corruption means cover up of misfits with monetary power.
Corruption means stealing of public money. Corruption means dishonesty.
Corrupted people are in fact all thieves whether in the garb of Prime Minister,
Cabinet Minister, State Minister, Chief Minister, IAS Officer, Police Officer,
Army Officer or any Officer or anybody who misuse the public funds meant for
public welfare secretly diverted for selfish gains are all thieves. All thieves
should be punished as per the national/international laws accordingly and of
course, once caught; no thieves should be allowed to hold any responsible
public post. This is justice. Corruption increases due to delayed justice.
Justice should be rendered fast & effectively. Where there is justice there
is happiness and where there is injustice there is unhappiness for all.
So, if you want to live in a happy world, stop all
kinds of corruptions, stop injustice, uphold & render justice to all.
Lots more to write but I gotta wind up here for
today.
Happiness for all!

Goodman
