IS OUR MIND ENOUGH TO MAKE US HAPPY?
IS OUR MIND ENOUGH TO MAKE US HAPPY?
Dear Friends,
Today, I want to talk you about
the role of our positive mind to make us happy and also the limitations of it,
because our good karmas do play big roles in our happiness in life.
It’s true that our mind do play
a big role for making us happy or unhappy, at the same existing situation, like
it’s the mind which sees the situation as a glass is half full
[optimistic/happy outlook] or half empty [pessimistic/unhappy outlook]. So, a
contented mind will be always happy at any given situation while a greedy mind
will never be happy even when one has lots more facilities comparatively.
So, a positive mind will look
for the best even in the worst situations while a negative mind will worry for
the worst future that may not happen, even in the best present situations. So,
it’s up to one’s mindset that one can remain happy or unhappy in any given
situation!
Having said that the question
is whether our mind is enough to make us happy all the time?
The answer is not fully
positive because our karmas also play a big role for our happiness or
unhappiness in terms of what we think, what we speak & what we do. If we
keep on doing bad karmas in terms of negative /harmful thoughts, word &
deeds; surely the negative /harmful reactions will come back to us making us
unhappy.
In such cases, our mind cannot
just make us happy, no matter how much our mind tries to make us happy because
if you put your finger in the fire, no matter what your mind thinks it’s OK,
it’s not, your finger will be burnt in seconds and you will suffer the
consequences of putting your finger in the fire. So, if you don’t want to
suffer burning your finger by fire, the best solution is that you don’t put
your finger in fire at the first place, because your mind alone can’t help you
much in such cases.
Thus our mind and karmas go
hand in hand to make us happy or unhappy.
So, if you want to live a happy
life watch your mind and your karmas. Make sure that both are positive,
productive, optimistic & benevolent.
Happiness for all!
