THOUGHTS ON SOME ISSUES IN INDIA
THOUGHTS
ON SOME ISSUES IN INDIA
Dear
Friends,
SOLVING PROBLEMS IN INDIA
There are too many problems in India that I cannot mention all of
them here but some top problems include Over-population, Corruption, Poverty,
Beggars, Slums, Caste-system, Dowry-deaths, Female-child-infanticide, Regional
& racial Prejudices, Superstitions, Idolatry, Outdated traditions etc.
To Solve all these problems India urgently needs good/ideal
leaderships: spiritually, politically, socially, educationally and economically.
Mass spiritual, political & social awakening is required with the
introduction of better education systems.
IMPROVING SERVICES OF PUBLIC SECTOR COMPANIES
My experiences with BSNL [I was subscribing to
Landline-Broadband-Internet for quite some time], a public sector undertaking
of Telecom & Broadband Internet for the past 4 years especially for the
past 3 months viz January, February & March 2015 and the services provided were
so irregular, substandard and pathetic that by the second week of April 2015, I
had to disconnect from their services just to regain my peace of mind.
Employees in public sector undertakings and the government departments
need to change their attitudes towards the public knowing well that they are
public servants to serve the people and so they should adopt dutiful work
culture instead of harassing people or taking bribes from the people.
SOLVING AAM AADMI PARTY [AAP] PROBLEMS
It is quite unfortunate that at a time when the people of India
had good hope in AAP for the better changes in the corrupted Indian political
systems; top leaders in the AAP could not stand together to sort out their
internal matters applying AAP Constituency based on the ideals of
anti-corruption, participatory democracy, decentralization of power, transparency
and justice.
Timing of the revolt by the two prominent leaders of AAP is not
just right just after the glorious victory of AAP in Delhi elections under the
extra efforts by one prominent leader.
When differences come up among top leaders, it should be solved
democratically through discussions and debate and not outright expulsions.
While one leader remains in charge of Delhi, others can take over
the expansion & promotion of AAP activities at the national level. AAP is
not for Delhi alone but for the whole country nay even expandable to the whole
world.
Responsibilities should be shared among AAP leaders and volunteers
in decentralised ways. Autocracy has no place in a socially & politically
revolutionary & mass awakening party like AAP.
I wish AAP leaders re-unite themselves applying their ideal
Constituency as the guiding principles above personality cults and lead the
people of India to the era of non-corrupt, honest and progressive politics.
GOOD VERSUS BAD CULTURE
People are sentimental and emotional when others mention about
their culture, either appreciating or criticising them, this is human nature;
people do have attachments to things they grew up with! However, a progressive
person will not blind follow things simply because his/her
father/grand-father/great-grand-father did it but analyse things to their
merits and demerits of following so.
In India for example there are many festivals that people enjoy
celebrating!
Yes, indeed festivals are good for the people to celebrate occasionally
because they bring all round happiness, good business, work, earnings and
prosperity among the people in the society.
But the question here is how we celebrate them needs to change for
the better?
For example:
During Holi festival people dirty themselves with all sorts of
dirty powders, liquids, even muddy waters and paints are used to throw to one
another in the name of celebrating Holi that is detrimental to health and
hygiene of the skin, eyes, nose, ear etc.
So, why not we throw petals of flowers or leaves or colourful
paper shreds or simply spray clean waters to one another thus celebrating Holi
in a healthier way?
Another example:
While celebrating Durga Puja, people engage in making so many
idols and after a few days all those idols are immersed in the rivers, lakes or
seas thus polluting all of them!
So, why not replace the idols with pictures of Durga on paper so
that after the celebration, it can be simply burnt away so that it won’t
pollute the water in rivers, lakes & seas.
Also why kill innocent animals during these festivals as
sacrifices to the goddess?
Any kind of worship system that involves taking away the life of
another living being is definitely not of the holy kind and so this practice
should be stopped!
Instead let us offer to the goddess nice flowers, fruits &
vegetables.
Also another example:
During Diwali that celebrates Laxmi, the goddess of wealth &
money, people in India indulge in eating so much sweets and sweety milk
products that many people endanger themselves of their health conditions
especially those who are already fat, obese & diabetic and many other
normal people start addicting to eating more sweets later.
Too much sweet is too bad for overall health!
Sweets give us dark skin and gloomy look!
So, why not we change this culture by encouraging people to
exchange more varieties of fruits and vegetables instead of sweets during the
Diwali festivals?
Happiness for all!
